ABOUT US
MISSION & VISION
Brothers to Brothers builds strong, safe spaces for Black men in Whatcom County to connect, heal, and grow. We focus on mental, physical, and spiritual wellness, education, and community leadership so we can break cycles, reclaim our power, and thrive.
We envision a community where Black men supported and resourced to live fully and strategically leading conversations, connecting across regions, and building economic power for our community.
Why We Exist
Brothers to Brothers was created from a simple truth: healing and progress begin when we gather. In a world that often isolates or misrepresents Black men, we provide a space to breathe, to speak freely, and to grow collectively. Here, we remember our roots, reclaim our power, and build a future worthy of our strength.
Brothers to Brothers was founded because:
- Without structure and resources, important work fades.
- Without community, isolation takes root.
- Without healing, cycles of pain repeat themselves.
We believe no one else will build the systems we need for ourselves, so we are building them together.
Our Values
Community Empowerment
We strengthen our community by supporting one another’s personal growth, leadership, and success. Through collaboration, we build networks of mutual support and collective power.
Educational Excellence
We believe knowledge is a pathway to liberation. From mentorship and cultural education to financial literacy and professional development, we create opportunities to learn, grow, and lead.
Inclusivity
We honor the diversity within the Black experience. Our spaces are designed to be welcoming, affirming, and safe — open to men of all backgrounds, faiths, and walks of life who share our commitment to community.
Economic Equity
True freedom includes financial stability and opportunity. We promote entrepreneurship, skill-building, and resource-sharing to help our brothers and families thrive economically.
Collaboration
We are stronger together. We partner with local organizations, educators, and healers to amplify our impact and build bridges that strengthen the whole community.
